Set for Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Musical Ride Centre, the event invites the public to explore the stables, interact with the riders and their magnificent black horses, and enjoy a variety of demonstrations and activities.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to take photos with the Mounties and their horses, witness the expertise of the RCMP’s specialized units including the Tactical Troop, the Emergency Response Team, and the Explosives Disposal and Technology Branch, and view police equipment displays.

The event will also feature performances by the RCMP Pipes and Drums at 1:00 p.m., and attendees can meet the RCMP mascot, Safety Bear.

While admission is free, the RCMP encourages donations of non-perishable food items or cash to benefit the Ottawa Food Bank, which continues to experience a critical demand for its services.

Last year’s Open House successfully raised over $3,000 and collected around 2,300 pounds of food.
